Columbia Gorge Training Association
The Mid-Columbia Training Association was reorganized and renamed to Columbia Gorge Training Association (CGTA) in 2005 to reflect its broader membership of counties and fire districts along both the Oregon and Washington sides of the Columbia River Gorge, as well as the Columbia Gorge Scenic Area, the Oregon Department of Forestry, and the U.S. Forest Service.
The goal of the CGTA is to provide training in fire and EMS services so certification of its members can be maintained at all levels. CGTA is recognized and certified by the Department of Public Safety Standards Training (DPSST).
Mission Statement
The mission of the Columbia Gorge Training Association is to be a professional, pro-active organization, providing the best possible training to the firefighters and EMTs of the Columbia Gorge area.
